Listening comfort

The S600 long list of advanced features includes a 12-channel digital noise reduction and speech enhancement system that reduces annoying background noises, like traffic and air conditioners, without compromising speech intelligibility. It also employs a sophisticated, high-speed feedback management system that helps minimize or eliminate feedback (whistling that can sometimes occur) while maximizing comfort. S600 directional models even reduce wind noise for better performance outdoors.

 

New nano-coated housings

S600 BTE models feature new nano-coated housings that repel water, sweat, and dirt, for easy cleaning and enhanced reliability.

Speech intelligibility

S600 employs a TwinMic™ directional microphone system, available for most models, that is both automatic and adaptive. Automatically the most appropriate microphone mode for a listening situation is selected. Speech signals and here especially the ones coming from front have the highest priority. The adaptive microphone component attenuates up to four different noise sources from the back, whereby better speech intelligibility is ensured.

This leading-edge technology is clinically proven to improve speech understanding - especially in listening situations with variable background noises.

 

Ease of use

The convenient AutoPhone feature (available on most custom and BTE models) simplifies using the telephone. A separate telephone program is available which significantly improves listening comfort and speech intelligibility for the customer during calls. In the past, however, it was necessary to manually choose the program. Our new AutoPhone functionality switches automatically to a dedicated telephone program as soon as a telephone is brought to the ear.

 

All S600 models come with additional convenience features such as power-on-delay or altering tones to remind you when it’s time to change batteries.
